Day 1: the Pyramids and the GEM, as above.
Day 2: the Old Cairo, Citadel & Khan el-Khalili private day tour ($120 per person). See Saladin's Citadel and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, the Hanging Church in Coptic Cairo, and finish in the lanes of the Khan el-Khalili bazaar.
End the evening on the Nile with the Cairo evening tour ($97): sunset from the Cairo Tower, a felucca after dark and koshary for dinner.

- Start early at Giza: it's cooler and quieter in the morning.
- Dress modestly for mosques and churches: shoulders and knees covered, and a scarf for women in mosques.
