Cairo - Aswan - Abu Simbel - Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor - Hurghada - Cairo - Siwa - Cairo
The whole of Egypt in two weeks: the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, a Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, the Red Sea, and four nights in the remote Siwa Oasis among palm groves, salt lakes and the dunes of the Great Sand Sea.
For travellers with time and curiosity, this journey goes far beyond the usual route. The first nine days cover Cairo, a three-night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor and the Red Sea at Hurghada, with a desert safari and a day on the coral reefs.
Then you travel west to Siwa, an oasis close to the Libyan border with its own language and traditions: the mud-brick fortress of Shali, the Temple of the Oracle that Alexander the Great consulted, hot springs, salt lakes and a night camping in the dunes of the Great Sand Sea.
