With nine days you can enjoy the Nile without rushing. After the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, you fly to Luxor and board your cruise for four nights, with time for Karnak, Luxor Temple and the West Bank before sailing south.
On the way to Aswan you stop at Edfu and Kom Ombo, then explore Aswan, the most beautiful town on the Nile, and see Abu Simbel early in the morning. The journey ends back in Cairo with its Islamic and Coptic quarters.

Morning flight to Luxor and boarding of your Nile cruise. Afternoon on the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
Morning at the vast temple of Karnak, afternoon free on board or for an optional hot-air balloon the next dawn, and Luxor Temple in the evening light.
Sail south through the Esna lock to Edfu and its Temple of Horus, then on to Kom Ombo and its temple of the crocodile god Sobek at sunset.
Arrive in Aswan. Visit the High Dam and the Temple of Philae, then sail by felucca around the islands and visit a colourful Nubian village.
Disembark and drive (or fly) to Abu Simbel to see the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari in the morning light. Back in Aswan, evening flight to Cairo.
