Aswan
Two easy days in Aswan, Egypt's most relaxed city: Philae Temple on its island, the High Dam, the spice market and, if you like, a Nubian village on the Nile, with one night in a value hotel.
Aswan is where the Nile is at its most beautiful, with granite islands, feluccas and Nubian villages. This short stay covers the main sights and leaves the evening free for the souk.
The Nubian village visit is optional and priced on request. Abu Simbel can be added as an early-morning extra.
Arrive in Aswan. Visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, then take a boat to Philae Temple. Evening free in the spice market.
Optional boat trip to a Nubian village, or free time by the river, then transfer out.
Estimated price per person sharing a double or twin room. Prices are in US dollars.
